Audio Visual Installer, Lead

Office Environment Company (OEC) helps companies create innovative and creative spaces and is looking for an AV Installer to join its technology (Audio/Visual) division. OEC is based in Boise, ID and has been a market leader for the past 30 years.
  • OVERVIEW

  • The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for implementing all audiovisual projects assigned to them. Daily activities include building and testing racks, performing field installations, and overseeing the completion of projects. The Lead Installer works in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Design Engineer to interpret each system’s scope and drawings to lead the installation team through a successful installation, test, and close-out of each assigned project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs and participates in the installation of completed racks, projectors, monitors, and related mounts.
  • Participates in testing of system components to assure system completeness and operation.
  • Turns in daily activity sheets for the team.
  • Responsible for the security and transportation of all equipment and hardware.
  • Provide accurate information to the Team Project Manager regarding the performance of installers assigned to projects.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions.
  • Assure each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle, equipment inventory, hardware, and all tools.
  • Provide supervision of Installers assigned to their projects.
  • Perform comprehensive, onsite audiovisual equipment installation including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, satellite, telephone systems, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems, and some programming based on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of direct or related integration experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CTS and/or CTSI preferred
  • Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. of material
  • Ability to lift, stand, crouch, and climb throughout the day
  • Ability to travel for remote projects
