Entry to Mid-Level Design Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Entry to Mid-Level Commercial Designer Specifier to join our commercial furniture team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional commercial interior designs and selecting the best products to meet our clients’ needs. You will work alongside experienced designers and sales professionals to help develop and deliver effective design solutions to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collaborate with experienced designers and sales professionals to develop design concepts and product recommendations for clients.
  2.  Create accurate and detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
  3. Select and specify products that best meet client needs and budgets.
  4. Fully develop interior spaces by selecting textiles, fabrics, finishes, and accessories.
  5. Application of building codes, ADA regulations in designs.
  6.  Learning and implementing stability and power requirements of furniture.
  7. Attend meetings with clients and project teams to review design concepts.
  8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  9. Work effectively with the sales team to provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree in interior design or related field is a bonus.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  7. Passion for design and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.

Construction Sales Leader

  • OVERVIEW

OEC is looking for a driven, talented sales leader to join our construction division. We have been in business for 30 years, have an excellent team in place and are looking to grow this division. Lots of upside compensation potential.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Business development and relationship building
    1. Develop and maintain relationships with current clients and prospects including general contractors, architects, and end users
    2. Add value to customers with product knowledge and regular meetings
    3. Quickly respond to customers’ questions and concerns
  2. Bid specialty construction projects with a focus on doors and hardware
    1. Perform takeoffs on commercial plans including product and quantity counts
    2. Estimate and assemble bids for doors and hardware and become a subject matter expert in this area
    3. Read and understand commercial specification and building plans
    4. Accurately and efficiently prepare bids and quotes
    5. Build relationships with vendors
  3. Lead sales team and manage bid pipeline
    1. Actively add to customer relationship management database
    2. Track current potential projects and regularly follow up on bids we have submitted 
    3. Work with current team members to achieve goals and win

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: From $70,000 per year
