Furniture Installer | Level 1 | Full Time

OVERVIEW

As a furniture installer, you will load, deliver, assemble, and install furniture projects at commercial office buildings (office, healthcare, education, government). You may also assist in mounting cabinets, counters, cubicles, and bathroom partitions, and other division 10 specialties.

Those most successful in this position have the physical strength and stamina to lift and assemble furniture spending multiple hours on their feet. They have a mechanical aptitude, exhibit a strong work ethic, and use communication skills to follow directions from the team lead. 

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Basic English
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Physical strength to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Furniture installers typically work from 7:30-4pm

Furniture Installer | Level 2 | Full Time

  • OVERVIEW

OEC is seeking a capable professional to join our team as a Furniture Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck, installing furniture according to the directions you receive, and assembling items on-site. You will also help prep the job site and clean up after the installation furniture items from the delivery truck.

WHAT DOES A FURNITURE INSTALLER DO?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload the truck
  • Assemble and install furniture and specialties
  • Prep and clean up the job site
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Read blueprints and install drawings
  • Be able to drive a box truck, bobtail, and pull a trailer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient English
  • Valid HS diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physical strength to perform heavy lifing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic plan reading skills
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Box truck, bobtail, and trailer driving skills
  • Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems
  • 6-12 months experience as a Level 1 Installer or in a comparable industry

Overview

The Talent Manager is the companies’ ambassador and thrives on creating a workplace where people love to be. This position will recruit top talent and maintain a steady pipeline of excellent candidates to fill necessary positions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Talent Acquisition

Source potential candidates through multiple channels (e.g., social platforms and professional networks, recruiting events, job fairs, and associations)

Attract, screen and funnel potential candidates to appropriate managers

Plan interview and selection procedures including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews

Design job descriptions and interview questions that accurately reflect each position’s requirements and assess candidate’s qualification

Assist managers in sending offer letters and onboarding

Build and maintain a talent pool to recruit from for future open positions

Develop relationships with local high schools, universities, and trades schools

Build relationships with local labor department counselors

Learn, understand, and implement government programs such as the Workforce Investment Act to lower the cost and risk of hiring and training talent

Plan and implement private job fairs and other recruiting-related events

Work with management to continually enhance company culture

Essential traits and qualifications

Three years of recruiting experience
