Sales Director

Job Description
OEC is seeking a talented individual to join our team to drive sales and expand the business. The individual will be hard-working and persistent, have excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to lead and manage a sales team, and a proven track record of success. We are entrepreneurial market leaders and strive for professional and personal growth. This role will be a key position in our leadership team creating strategic plans and executing them.

Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and hold the sales team accountable

  • Establish annual and monthly budgets and exceed expectations
  • Each salesperson should have a written annual plan
  • Structure education and training for sales staff including product and sales training
  • Motivate sales force; regularly meet with the sales team (1 on 1) to review strategic accounts, prospecting, and current projects
  • Ensure that CRM is actively updated and used
  • Increase sales and profitability - measured by top-line revenue growth and improved margins
  • Approve sales mistakes
  • Managing sales coordinators

Increase business with top 40 target accounts and key general contractors

  • Join sales team on sales calls to model and coach on approach
  • Lead out on relationships with C-Suite at target accounts
  • Increase the number of touches with the target accounts; widen the number of contacts OEC has with the client
  • Touch the clients more by delivering wow, hosting unique events, customer lunches/breakfasts, visits, and more
  • Increase customer satisfaction measured by repeat business, stickiness to OEC, and an increase in year-over-year revenue
  • Take massive action on owning the large accounts in our market

Business Development

  • Promote OEC to influencers (Architecture and Design community, Brokers, Project Managers, Facilities Managers and buildidng Owners)
  • Meet with influencers monthly and generate leads for the team
  • Look for opportunities to grow sales in teh different segments where we operate: K12, GSA, government, office, and industrial
  • Read local and regional periodicals to identify new opportunities
  • Attending events to develop business - examples include IFMA, BOMA, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Increase the percentage of new buisness compared to repeat business

Responsibilities

  • Become a technical expert on furniture-related products
  • Design detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings
  • Curate interior spaces by selecting products, textiles, fabrics, finishes, and accessories
  • Manage the design queue to effectively prioritize, delegate, and deliver design projects decisively
  • Communicate effectively with the design team and customers

Qualifications

  • 5 years of design experience
  • Experience in CET Configura, AutoCAD, Revit, or Sketchup
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Poject coordinator experience

  • Purchase and track incoming product
  • Coordinate projects and schedule installation
  • Monitor profit and loss by project
  • Communicate effectively with team, customers, and vendors
  • Problem-solve and manage change orders within projects
